Hi everyone, my real life name is Markos Garcia, I write and direct using the pseudonym of Augusto MaK. Recently moved from Brisbane to Sydney to do my masters at AFTRS. My last project was 'The Tempus Elixir'. A fantasy short film that mix a bit of German Expressionism with Greek mythology and have some cool girls fighting with katanas, Tarantinesque style. www.facebook.com/thetempuselixir/I am really interested in meeting fellow filmmakers, specially Producers. At the moment working in a gothic-fantasy short film screenplay. Wish you all the best with your projects! Lets make a movie

You had me at Gothic fantasy dude! I just checked out the fb page and keen to see any trailer or see it in full when it comes out. I have many short film ideas that you may find interesting and keen to collaborate on when I get around finishing them. I haven't been to it yet since I've only been in Sydney for a year, but there is a film festival called 'A night of horror' and have various of awards and prizes for things like www.anightofhorror.com/home/Definitely worth a checkout if you want a goal in writing your short for. I am a big Lovecraft fan so maybe this year I might finally get around doing some one of the many short film ideas to produce for it. With the sword play in The Tempus Elixir, do you choreograph it yourself or get a professional?

Hi Jake! Tempus is in competition if you pass me your email I could send a private link so you give it a look. A night of horror and fantastic planet are two festivals that I want to go this year and I want to send Tempus to them also. I really find that I work better in genre type of films like sci fi and fantasy. Must be a age thing. I saw your video "Monkey Tales". Very smart! I like it. In regards to the fight scene. I had to send my actors to learn a choreography for a month, it took 3 full days of shooting to stage it. It helped that some of them had already sword training, then I went to a armoury and bought katanas replicas! I was like a kid in a candy store!. Well hope to see more of your work mate! Keep in touch

And that's cool and it makes me even more curious about your film, with the effort and dedication you guys have put in. I have a friend who is the head of a Viking reenactment group up in the Northern Rivers area who have swords, armor, people who teach sword fighting etc. I'll have to find more people who do such things down this way. I'm from Portland/Lithgow area and they have an annual 'Iron fest' thing which I've never been to, but know there's locals who do a lot of that stuff. Never considered inquiring about such stuff until now haha!
Cheers for the compliment, looking to make more monkey tales episodes this year.
And yup, growing slowly but surely!

Watched the short. Nice job man, good production value, some good shots. Loved the sparks in the sword fight. That genre isn't something I see myself doing but I enjoyed what you did!
