My Rode Reel

Now in its third year, My RØDE Reel is an international short film competition hosted by RØDE Microphones and a select team of partners, designed to encourage and promote independent filmmakers.


With more than 2,000 entries from 89 different countries, and almost $500,000 in prizes given away, it is the world's largest competition of its kind!

The Competition commences at 12.00 midday AEST on 1 March 2016 (“the Commencement Date”) and closes at 12.00 midday AEST on 1 June 2016 (the “Closing Date”). The period between the Commencement Date and the Closing Date shall be the Competition entry period (the “Competition Entry Period”).

To participate in the Competition, Entrants must write, create, record and edit in a digital video format the following original films:


  A- a Short Film, of a minimum of 60 seconds and a maximum of 3 minutes in duration, of content of the Entrant’s choosing (the “Short Film”); and


  B- a video, of a minimum of 60 seconds and a maximum of 3 minutes in duration, of the “Behind The Scenes” making of the Short film that must show a RØDE product      being used in the production of the Short Film (the “BTS Video”). The BTS Video must feature original footage of an actual (not photo or image) RØDE product and its     use in the production of the Short Film. RØDE in its sole discretion shall decide on what constitutes a “Behind The Scenes” video of the making of the Short Film, and     any such decision of RØDE shall be final.
